  Course(s) Offered : The College runs course leading to the following :
B. A. M. S. ( Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ) or Ayurvedacharya Degree. Ayurvedachary (B.A.M.S-Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is the only recognised degree in Ayurveda all over India from June 1977.

Scope : B.A.M.S. degree holders are eligible for registration in the Central/State government ayurvedic boards.Their status is at par with any other medical graduates in India.They are eligible for appointments in Central or State Govt.Ayurvedic Medical Services.
 
Admission Form can be obtained personally from the office of The Managing Director, 'Aligarh Unani & Ayurvedic Medical College & ACN Hospital, Aligarh or any of the associate office on cash payment of Rs. 1050/- or can be obtained through registered post by sending Demand Draft of Rs.1150/- drawn in favour at 'AUAMC, Aligarh.
   
  Note:

The numbers of above mentioned seats are the total intake capacity for the above mentioned courses. About 50% of the total intake of seats can be allotted to the candidates from U.P. Pre-Medical Entrance Test conducted by the Government of U.P. (this test is being conducted for the remaining 50% seats of the management quota) or as allotment will be made by the UP Government.

Admissions to B.A.M.S. Courses are subject to the permission obtained by the concerned colleges by their respective Councils and the Government of India.

The Federation is not responsible for any shortcoming in the status of their respective Colleges of BAMS.
 
Age: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December 1989 (at least 17 years of age as on 31st Dec 2006) are eligible to apply. Date of Birth as recorded in the High School or its equivalent certificate alone will be accepted.
 
Reservation
  Reservation Policy as per U.P. Govt. entitlement will be as follows :-
  (Vertically)
(i) 21% reservation for S.C. candidates in each of the courses of the college.
(ii) 2% reservation for S.T. candidates and
(iii) 27% reservation for O.B.C. candidates.
  (Horizontally)
(i) 2% reservation for dependents of freedom fighter.
(ii) 2% reservation for dependents of Martyr’s/Handicap Army Personnel.
(iii) 3% reservation for Handicap.
(iv) 20% reservation for female candidates
 
(In case of non-availability of eligible candidates in the above categories, the vacant seats will be fulfilled out of the general quota.)
 
Qualification and Minimum Marks (B.A.M.S / B.U.M.S.)
 
The candidates who have passed the 10+2 i.e., I.S.C. / Intermediate examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be eligible.
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBCs, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination be 40 % in lieu of 50 % for general candidates.
The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination of (12th) and result is not yet available are also eligible to appear in the Common Pre-medical Entrance Examination but such candidates shall submit the marks sheet of the qualifying examination of (12th) on or before 16th July 2006
 

Scope of Examination and Evaluation:

  The pattern and syllabus will follow the CPMT Examination as conducted by Govt. of U.P.
(i)
All candidates should appear for the Common Pre-Medical Entrance Examination. The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 230 questions. The distribution of questions for subjects will be Hindi 30, Physics 40, Chemistry 60 and Biology 100. The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10+2 examination (CBSE/ICSE / UP BOARD or its equivalent). The question paper will be in English & Hindi both.
(ii)
All the questions will be objective type with multiple choice (A, B, C, D) of which, only one will be the most appropriate response and, therefore, the correct choice. Each correct answer shall be awarded ONE mark. ZERO marks shall be given to no response and incorrect answers. More than one choice indicated against a question shall be considered as incorrect response and ZERO mark will be given. There will be no negative marking.
